SJS Athletics
St. Joseph Regional Catholic School offers a variety of athletic opportunities for students. Students can begin playing basketball in 3rd grade for boys and 4th grade for girls. Girls cheerleading starts in 3rd grade and continues through 8th grade. Athletic opportunities also include cross-country, volleyball and tennis which are added as students mature. Younger St Joseph compete in the Florence Independent League. Seventh and eighth grade athletics compete as part of the Alabama High School Athletic Association.
Upcoming 7th grade students, who plan to play a sport, need to take the Sportsmanship course. Please click here for directions on how to take the test. A certificate must be printed and turned in to Coach Tays before the student will be able to play.
St. Joseph Athletics teaches students good sportsmanship as well as basic athletic skills. Informational meetings about each sport are held at the beginning of that season.
