Jr. High Curriculum

The junior high curriculum at St. Joseph Regional Catholic School follows both state guidelines and the Diocese of Birmingham in Alabama guidelines.

The junior high curriculum at St. Joseph strives to provide challenging classes in the arts and sciences, mathematics, language, and social studies, while preparing the students for the academic world that lies beyond these years. The junior high students participate in daily religion classes, weekly Liturgy, as well as foreign language, Fine Arts in art and music, and athletic programs.

St. Joseph offers an Advanced Math program, French or Spanish Foreign Language, a Science Fair, and clubs: National Junior Honor Society (7th and 8th), Scholar’s Bowl, and Student Council, among others. The technology class will fulfill the high school requirements.

Each class within the school is equipped with modern technology from interactive whiteboards, handheld wireless responders and slates. Students in junior high also participate in the 1:1 Chromebook program.
